Following the Government’s announcement on Monday evening and in addition to the statement posted on our website and emailed to customers on March 12, I want to give you an updated account of the steps we have taken to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, customers, and partners. I also want to reassure you that we are doing all we can to support our customers during this difficult time.
Since our last communication we have divided the team into two groups: those who are able to work from home and those whose job requires their presence on-site, at our facility in Calne. The safety of our staff will always be our top priority; therefore we have made social distancing mandatory throughout the factory and offices. We have also placed limits on movement around the factory, offices, and communal areas, and remote working staff have been asked not to attend the office without prior approval from a member of the Management Team (MT). We employ a cleaner on-site, who will be sanitising any communal touch points on a continuous basis during the working day. At the end of each working day, a full clean will be carried out.
We are also continuing with our split shift pattern throughout our factory and offices – this was implemented on Monday March 16th and will run through until Tuesday April 14th 2020. This is subject to change and may be extended if necessary, based on any further developments as advised by The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and The World Health Organisation (WHO).
From the beginning of this week, staff who are able to work remotely have been given the ability to work from home. We continue to have staff manning the offices, all observing the recommended minimum 2 metre social distancing standard, to ensure any phone enquiries are answered and print jobs are loaded quickly and efficiently.
The MT will continue to correspond on a daily basis to ensure that we are fully equipped if and when circumstances change. This will also enable us to step in, should a customer require extra support to sustain business continuity. The clear measures we have introduced, along with our team’s incredible support and dedication, gives me every confidence that we will continue delivering the consistent level of service you have come to expect from Bex Design.
I sincerely hope this second communication finds you in good health and I assure you that, should our plans change, you will receive further updates. Until such time, please rest assured that it’s business as usual.
As always “thank you” for continuing to trust Bex Design with your business needs.
